This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "DesireLink" (published on the Apple App Store) and "DirLink" (published on Google Play), collectively referred to as "DesireLink" or "the App". Both versions are operated and maintained by DESIRELINK.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our mobile application (“the App”), which is designed to enhance the experience with compatible smart devices. This Policy applies to users in North America and governs all data collected through the App.

Personal Information: When you register or use our App, we may collect personal data such as your name, email address, and other information that you voluntarily provide.

Device Information:Including device type, operating system, and unique identifiers.

Usage Data: such as in-app behavior, preferences, App usage patterns, and crash data.

Bluetooth & Microphone Data:used strictly to enable device control and interaction.
Bluetooth Access:Required to connect and control your smart device. For example, to initiate real-time actions.
On Android devices, enabling location services is also required by the operating system to allow Bluetooth scanning. The App does not access or store your location data.
Microphone Access:Required to enable sound-driven features between your device and the App, such as interactive control.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to provide and improve our services, personalize your experience, communicate with you about updates and offers, ensure the security of our services, and comply with legal obligations.
We may analyze anonymized usage data, such as feature access frequency and session duration, to understand how users interact with the App and to improve functionality, stability, and usability.
We do not collect data for advertising profiling or cross-app tracking purposes.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share information with service providers who perform services on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements, or when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or with your consent.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

You can modify your device settings to control the permissions our App requests, although disabling certain permissions (e.g., bluetooth or microphone access) may affect the functionality of the App. You may also request that we delete your account and all associated data; please refer to our “Account Deletion” section on our website for details.
All account deletion requests will be processed within 24 hours of receipt.

7. Google Firebase Services

We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring, to help us understand how the App is used, improve stability, and diagnose technical issues.

Information collected by Firebase may include:
• Device information (such as device model, operating system version, language, and region)
• App interaction data (such as screen views, feature usage, and session duration)
• Crash reports and error logs
• Performance metrics (such as app start time, network response time, and connection stability)

All Firebase data is collected in an anonymized or aggregated form whenever possible. We do not use Firebase to collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, precise location, or browsing content.

You may disable analytics collection by adjusting your device’s privacy settings (such as “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android) or by turning off analytics within the App, if available.

8. Third-Party Services

The App includes a built-in browser that allows users to enter and visit any public URL on the internet. These third-party websites are not operated or controlled by us, and we are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. We do not store or track your browsing history. If you encounter inappropriate content, you may report it to us for review. We strongly recommend that you review the privacy policies of any external websites you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this Policy and provide notice as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the App after any changes have been made signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy.
